Elements of a Homestead

I made this quilt for an online auction to raise money for the Alliance for American Quilts.  It began with the broken-down building that I saw along a county highway.  Elements were added like compass points, sunshine, rain, wheat, and so on.  The center was a cameo to represent the homemaker.
